My co-worker keeps complaining about breast pain, especially in the area where milk used to come out. She said that she had a mammogram and the doctor gave her a clean bill of health. Could it be her bra? Is it common for women her age to have breast pain/sore breast?
Something is Fishy. I would tell her to return to her doctor with the same complaint and request an ultrasound.
breast pain:Women over 50 with menopause:What can cause breast pain? How do you treat the symptoms?
www.balancedhealthtoday.com www.balancedhealthtoday.com “Breast changes are common. From the time a girl begins to develop breasts and begins menstruating and throughout life, women may experience various kinds of breast pain and other breast changes. Some of these changes normally occur during the menstrual cycle, during pregnancy, and with aging. Breast lumps, tenderness, and other changes may occur. Most breast lumps and other changes are not cancer. Your breast is composed of several glands and ducts that lead to the nipple and the surrounding colored area called the areola. The milk-carrying ducts extend from the nipple into the underlying breast tissue like the spokes of a wheel. Under the areola are lactiferous ducts. These fill with milk during lactation after a woman has a baby. When a girl reaches puberty, changing levels of hormones cause the ducts to grow and cause fat deposits in the breast tissue to increase. The glands that produce milk (mammary glands) that are connected to the surface of the breast by the lactiferous ducts may extend to the armpit area (axilla). Kind of overpriced, but what an awesome piece of art!
This reminds me of my "wetware" idea for wallpaper: Walls [or mattresses] that simply grow breasts out of them. Real, live breasts, made from human DNA, but tweaked to grow without a body. When they get old and saggy, you put down some plastic, rip them off, clean up the blood, and new ones grow back after a few months. They would make pillows out of them as well. Eventually, vegetarian, pro-life, and religious types would commission scientific studies to try to proove that the breasts suffered and felt pain. After politicians refusing to appear "soft on breast slavery" pass a prohibition, they are driven into an unregulated black market, where bootleg breasts with manufacturing defects start injuring their users. Eventually, children actually are killed by poisoned breasts — but only because of the conservatives who caused them to be banned in the first place. The end.

BACKSTORY: We were only scheduled to be in town for about 26 hours. And that included *two* sleeps. Combined with the SubGenius devival we were going to later that day, we really didn’t have much time to do anything. We woke up, walked around Chinatown, ate, and then headed to the Museum Of Sex to see what oddities it had to offer. Then we went straight to the SubGenius Devival in Astoria afterward.
Hot flashes, mood swings, vaginal dryness, loss of sexual appetite and even weight gain are some of the symptoms that are associated with menopause. However, there is a lot more to menopause than these physical and emotional changes. One menopause-related problem that is not getting enough attention is breast changes. As you well know, hormonal changes during pregnancy and monthly periods can cause breast tenderness and
